A forensic scientist testifies that the DNA of a Deerfield man was found on a baseball bat used to beat a woman to death, according to our news partner, the Daily Herald.

Daniel Baker is on trial in the killing of Marina Aksman, 50, in her Vernon Hills home in 2010.

Prosecutors say he bludgeoned her to death because she wanted to keep him and her daughter, Kristina, apart.
