Exxon Mobile says operations were returning to normal Sunday night at their refinery in far southwest suburban Chanahon after a crude oil leak on Friday.

The leak, which the company described as an airborne release of oil and other substances, caused at least one road closure.

The Environmental Protection Agency is assessing the environmental impact of the spill.
