As of 10:30 p.m. Chicago time, ABC projections showed Obama had 275 electoral votes compared to Republican challenger Gov. Mitt Romney's 203 electoral votes. But those numbers were fluid throughout the evening, and the neck-to-neck race made for a tense election night with key swing states hanging in the balance. Florida, Virginia and Ohio are the key swing states where the winners have yet to be projected.

Even without final numbers, Obama's supporters at Chicago's McCormick Place are celebrating what they believe to be a win. Obama's campaign has not called the race, but some news outlets have.

President Obama and his family have arrived at the Fairmont Hotel. Obama, the first lady and their children will all attend the Election Night campaign event at Chicago's McCormick Place, where they will greet thousands of supporters- volunteers and staffers.

Romney is in Boston for Election Night.
