Community Connection: IL Legislative Latino Caucus Foundation Conference

"La Presencia Latina: Reflections on the Past ... An Agenda for the Future" will feature workshops and discussions about jobs and more, to provide a forum for issues of critical importance to the Latino community. The keynote speaker is Ray Suarez, an acclaimed author and well-known former senior correspondent for PBS' The News Hour. ABC7 is a media partner. State Rep. Maria Antonia Berrios, co-chair of the Illinois Legislative Latino Caucus Foundation, came into our ABC7 studio to tell us about the event.

12 p.m.to 1:45 p.m.: Scholarship Awards Luncheon and Special Recognitions
2 p.m. to 3 p.m.: Town Hall Meeting with state political leaders
3:30 to 5:00 pm: 10th Anniversary Celebratory Reception
