ABC7 Exclusive: Ex-Bears coach Mike Ditka talks from hospital after minor stroke

November 16, 2012 (CHICAGO)

Ditka told ABC7's Mark Giangreco that he was playing cards at his country club when his hands started to go numb. He immediately checked himself into the hospital where he will remain overnight.

"I am fine," Ditka said. "They ran all the tests on me. I probably had a very slight stroke ... a mini stroke. Right now I feel good."

Ditka just turned 73 on October 18.

In 1988, he had a mild heart attack and was back to work in a week. Since then he has had both hips and knees replaced.
