The annual Salvation Army Red Kettle program is off and running strong this holiday season thanks to four gold coins that were left in area kettles.

The coins include a South African Kruggerand and together are worth a total of over $3700. Each was donated between November 30 and December 1.

There have also been anonymous cash donations made of $400 and $1000.
