"Secret Millionaire" saves Evanston bakery from closing its doors

December 24, 2012 (EVANSTON, Ill.)

The bakery, which serves gluten-free treats, recently faced financial troubles and needed $104-thousand to remain open.

Marcus Lemonis, who appeared on ABC's "Secret Millionaire," is a patron of the bakery.

He wrote a check for $200-thousand and saved the business.

He plans to write another check in 18 months.

Lemonis is now the majority owner of the bakery.

"For all our customers and our employees, we're going to be able to stay open," said Rosie O'Carroll.

Lemonis plans to buy new equipment for the bakery so it will be able to make its treats quicker and more efficiently.
