Sales of electronic book readers are expected to drop, according to an industry analyst who says sales of the Nook and Kindle will likely fall as soon as more consumers buy tablets due to lowering prices, improved screen quality and longer battery life.

Tablet computers are already outselling e-readers. However, right now e-reader sales are still growing.

Last year manufacturers sold 23 million e-readers and 67 million tablets.
