Certain migraines could be a warning sign for heart problems.

New information revealed that women who suffer from migraines with visual effects called auras might be at higher risk for heart attacks, strokes and blood clots.

The only thing that was a more powerful predictor of cardiovascular trouble was high blood pressure, according to scientists.

The findings, which will be presented at the American Academy of Neurology meeting, say there are things women can do to reduce their risk.

They recommend women avoid smoking, eat healthfully and exercise to lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels.
