Nearly 30 puppies that were rescued from a Kentucky shelter by soldiers are getting ready to go up for adoption.

Twenty-seven puppies and three adult dogs were going to be euthanized but the Rescue Warrior Corp went to Kentucky to pick them up.

The organization partnered with the "Happy Pet Parlor" in Elk Grove Village to put the dogs up for adoption.

All the puppies got baths and will soon get check-ups.

They'll spend some time in foster homes before being put up for adoption in about a week.
