Hundreds of women decked out in red joined together Friday in a united effort to fight heart disease.

It's all for the American Heart Association's Go Red For Women luncheon held at the Walnut Room at Macy's on State Street.

This luncheon is the signature fundraising event for Chicago's Go Red For Women campaign.

ABC7's Cheryl Burton served as host for the lunch program, which helped raise awareness that heart disease is the number one killer of women.
