Authorities safely recovered a 1-month-old whose parents were hiding him from the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, according to the Cook County Sheriff's Department.

There was an existing child protection warrant for the baby to be brought back to DCFS custody.

Officers went to the 2800 block of South Pulaski Avenue in Chicago on Wednesday night after learning that the baby may be there.

Authorities say there was a strong possibility that the parents might have taken the baby to Mexico

The mother, Pricilla Gloria, 29, had an existing warrant for failure to appear on a felony residential burglary charge from LaSalle County, IL.

She was taken into custody, while the infant was taken to DCFS.
