Naperville high schools considering random drug tests

Some suburban high school students could eventually have to undergo random drug tests.

Officials at Naperville North and Naperville Central high schools say marijuana use has gotten out of control and they want to be more proactive.

If the plan moves forward, the testing would apply to athletes as well as students involved in other extra-curricular activities.

The issue will be discussed more at a June school board meeting.
