The Chicago Cubs have hired two key, former Obama campaign aides to help sell the Wrigley Field renovation plan.

Jeremy Bird served as national field director, and Mitch Stewart served as battleground states director in 2012.

The Cubs scheduled two meetings with neighborhood groups Tuesday as negotiations over the renovation plan continue.
