They say 15 inmates at the jail have been assigned to a separate room or to Cermak Hospital, where they are receiving treatment.
Rooms inside the Cook County Jail are also getting new linens.
Some inmates are also getting new clothing.
The sheriff's department says the isolation remains in effect until the outbreak is over.
