That is the advice - and the warning - from the Illinois State Police for the Memorial Day weekend.
The state police say they're going to be out on the roads in force and will strictly enforce the laws regarding speeding, distracted driving, seat belts and drunken driving.
During last year's Memorial Day weekend, the state police issued nearly 3,200 speeding tickets and about 180 for driving under the influence and just under 1,500 tickets for safety restraint violations.
