It happened overnight in the 1300-block of North Lake Shore Drive.
A group of people ran across the northbound lanes when one person --- a man in his 30s-- was struck.
Paramedics took the man to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition.
The man's condition was not known Sunday afternoon.
