'Love spray' with oxytocin may lead to happily ever after

June 13, 2013 (CHICAGO)

The University of Oxford is exploring research that suggests a spray containing the so-called "love hormone" oxytocin may be the answer to living happily ever after.

Some studies have found that oxytocin levels increase when couples cuddle. But, can this love potion actually save a marriage?

Researchers found couples who used the spray before discussing contentious topics were less likely to get upset. The women were less emotional and demanding, and men were more positive and likely to engage.
