West Nile virus found in Evanston bird

Authorities in north suburban Evanston are reporting the first bird of the season to test positive for West Nile virus.

They said the bird was collected in Evanston earlier this week.

Birds or mosquitoes with West Nile virus have been reported in 32 counties in Illinois.

So far, there have been no human cases reported.
