Matthew Hinson, 28, will be sentenced October 17th.
He cut the throat of Lake Villa resident William Pettry, who was in Florida for a Bears game.
Prosecutors say Hinson was jealous because Pettry had been talking to Hinson's wife.
Hinson pleaded guilty to second degree murder.
He could be sentenced to life in prison.
