Judge denies couple's request to remove Wrigleyville Divvy bike station

August 23, 2013 (CHICAGO)

After the court session, the husband and wife who filed the suit said they were disappointed. Jeanine Cordero and David Kolin believe theirs is the only Divvy station in front of a residential building. They object to it on safety and other grounds.

A lawyer for the city says officials sympathize with their concerns.

"The city told the plaintiffs before they filed this case that all of these bike stations are going to be reviewed," said Grant Ullrich, assistant corporation counsel, City of Chicago.

The couple says the judge gave them thirty days to come up with a different legal strategy.
