The winning numbers from Friday's drawing were: 17 - 23 - 35 - 36 - 44 and the Mega Ball was 8. While no one won Friday night's jackpot, more than 102,000 Illinoisans won prizes ranging from $15,000 to $3.
Last month, Mega Millions was revamped to include larger, faster growing jackpots; second-place prizes of at least $1 million and better odds of winning smaller cash prizes. The game retained its $1 ticket price, as well as the optional Megaplier (costs an extra $1) that multiplies non-jackpot prizes by up to five.
