Greater Grand Crossing shooting: Boy, 17, critically injured, robbed of $500 on South Prairie

January 29, 2014 (CHICAGO)

Chicago police said the 17-year-old boy was in an alley in the 6700-block of South Prairie at approximately 9:20 p.m. Tuesday night when the attacker shot him in both legs, took $500 from his pockets and ran away.

The teenager was taken in critical condition to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, police said.

No one was in custody Wednesday.
