Equinox Gym is hosting Chicago's version of the Cycle for Survival, in which 16,000 people in 13 cities are participating nationwide.

It's a cancer fundraiser started by Chicagoan David Linn and his wife Jennifer.

Jennifer died in 2011 of a rare form of sarcoma.

Since its inception in 2007 the annual event has raised more than $42 million for rare cancer research.
