But spring snow means many different things to many different people.
Some people say we're a bunch of drips for living here, but of course we're not. We just love being cooler by the lake when the north winds blow. And we love it when April snow showers bring April flowers. It's a feeling we express in just a few words.
In some years, during mid-April we're wearing shorts and t-shirts. But in this 2014 winter to remember, this tax day is doubly taxing. The IRS gets us, and so does Mother Nature.
Let's look at it this way. If this was Nov. 15, we'd be depressed with five months of winter ahead of us. But right now we're on the right side of winter. We have to be optimistic.
"You know, I called this snow and said there'd be one last snow two weeks ago," said Tony Bagdy of Chicago. "This is it, I don't think we'll be getting any more. It's over."
So don't mope about the weather. Put some spring in your step.
