HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. (WLS) -- Sears is cutting 100 jobs at its headquarters in suburban Hoffman Estates, officials announced Wednesday.
The retailer says the decision was not taken lightly, but is part of the effort to transform the company and return it to profitability.
In addition to the cuts at its headquarters, another 15 positions are being eliminated at other corporate locations.
Sears has been losing money and has been under pressure from Wall Street to make changes.
