Chicago police are investigating burglaries targeting restaurants along Lincoln Avenue Monday morning.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Several restaurants were burglarized or damaged Monday morning along Lincoln Avenue, Chicago police said.

Thieves broke in through a window at Left Coast Food and Juice at about 1:50 a.m. in the 2800-block of Lincoln Avenue

The burglars left behind a little trail of blood after one of them got cut by shattered glass.

Police said the thieves then zeroed in on a cash drawer and took off.

Meanwhile, two other restaurants on the North Side were targeted up and down the Lincoln Avenue corridor.

Cilantro Taco and Grill in the 2200-block of North Orchard Street was hit. The thieves once again broke a window and got inside at around 2 a.m.

Police said they used a rock and then took a safe and a cash drawer.

The owner said that this is the first time they have experienced a break in and they have shared surveillance video with police.

A third restaurant, the Daily Grill in the 4500-block of North Lincoln Avenue was targeted.

At around 2 a.m., police said someone threw a rock and broke the front glass of the bar, but nothing was taken.

It's unclear if all of them are related. At this point authorities have not officially linked them, but in each case, police said four male suspects were involved and used a black Kia sedan as a getaway car.
