Chicago Cubs playoff tickets for sale to season ticket holders

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago Cubs season ticket holders can purchase playoff tickets now in the hope that the team will make it to postseason play.

The Cubs sent out a notification to season ticket holders on Thursday. "As a valued Cubs Season Ticket Holder, we are happy to offer you the opportunity to secure seats to

the 2015 postseason in advance of the general public."

Season ticket holders have until Tuesday, September 8 to secure seats and make the payment.

There are six more weeks in the regular season. The Cubs and Giants are trying for the last wild card spot in the National League.

The last time the Chicago Cubs made it to the playoffs was 2008.
