'Letters to Santa' collects, wraps and delivers presents for nearly 2,000 CHA kids

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Hundreds of families will have a happier holiday thanks to a team of dedicated volunteers.

"Letters to Santa" collected wish lists from nearly 2,000 kids living in Chicago Housing Authority properties.

The group partnered with Congressman Danny Davis, Amazon and the United States Postal Service to collect the gifts on those lists.

The gifts were then sorted and wrapped Tuesday in Wilmette. They were then delivered to the children.
