Woman allegedly tried luring 2 children into car in Cragin

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A woman tried to lure two children into her car in Chicago's Cragin neighborhood, according to police.

Authorities said a woman driving a black, four-door sedan in the 5400-block of West Schubert Avenue asked two children if they wanted a ride around 7:40 a.m. Tuesday.

When they declined, she asked again, receiving the same answer. Police said she then drove away, heading east on Schubert. There were reportedly three men and two children inside the car along with the female driver.

The suspect is described as a middle-aged Caucasian woman with a light complexion and medium-length blond hair. She was wearing a black jacket. Police said black sedan had a thin white stripe running across the taillights and a possible partial license plate of 97732.
