Former President Donald Trump is denying he praised Adolf Hitler as having done "some good things," as his former chief of staff and retired Marine general John Kelly was reported to have said this week.

"Never said it," Trump said, answering reporter questions as he campaigned in battleground Nevada on Thursday.

Kelly told The New York Times in an interview that Trump spoke positively of Hitler while in office.

"He commented more than once that, 'You know, Hitler did some good things, too,'" Kelly said of Trump.

Trump also denied saying the comments attributed to him in The Atlantic story.

"No, I never said that. I never said that. It's a rag that's made-up stories before. He's done it before," Trump said.

Barron Trump might not be appearing on the campaign trail as his father Donald Trump works to whip up voter enthusiasm ahead of the presidential election, but the 18-year-old has an unofficial role: podcast adviser.

As a member of Gen Z, Barron -- the youngest of Trump's three sons -- was the one to introduce his 78-year-old father to this new medium, a source close to Trump told ABC News. YouTuber and wrestler Logan Paul was top of mind for Barron, the source noted, and his podcast "Impaulsive" was the first one Donald Trump appeared on, back in June.

It's part of Trump's effort to reach younger voters who may be still establishing themselves or are starting families, honing in on topics like jobs, the economy, the border and safety.

Former President Donald Trump sits down with podcast host Joe Rogan for the first time Friday, appearing on the highly popular "The Joe Rogan Experience," as he reaches out to an audience of mostly young males as potential voters.

The podcast, which boasts approximately 15.7 million followers, a Spotify representative confirmed to ABC News, is greater than the population of any of the seven election battleground states.

Elon Musk's super PAC awarded two $1 million prizes to registered voters in Michigan and Wisconsin on Thursday, after being warned by the Justice Department that the payments might be illegal.

These are the first giveaways by the pro-Donald Trump super PAC after news broke Wednesday that the Justice Department had sent a letter to the group, warning that its "daily" sweepstakes might violate federal election laws against paying for voter registrations.

Musk, the CEO of Tesla and the richest man in the world, launched the sweepstakes on Saturday and his super PAC had named a winner each day - until Wednesday. No winner was announced then, but two winners were announced Thursday on X, the social media platform that Musk owns.

The group has not provided any public explanation for the apparent one-day pause, and a spokesperson for the super PAC declined to comment. It's not clear when Musk received the Justice Department's letter.
