CHICAGO (WLS) -- (RELEASE) The 18th Annual Aon Step Up for Kids stair climb to the top of the Aon Center to benefit Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago will take place on Sunday, January 25, 2015. More than 3,000 athletes, fitness enthusiasts, families, friends and supporters of Lurie Children's will climb 80 floors, or 1,643 steps, to the top of the Aon Center, 200 E. Randolph St. Individuals and teams representing schools, clubs, first responders (Chicago Police and Fire departments) and Chicago-area corporations are expected to participate.

Aon Step Up for Kids is expected to raise more than $600,000, with all proceeds supporting K.I.D.S.S. for Kids, an affiliated organization of Lurie Children's, and its $4 million commitment to the hospital's Family Services department. Family Services provides a wide range of emotional and physical support to patients and their families. The event, which kicks off at 7:45 a.m., includes a finish line celebration at the Aon Center's Mid-America Club with live entertainment, refreshments and spectacular views of the city.
