CHICAGO (WLS) -- A new, cheaper version of Viagra is about to hit store shelves.

The FDA has approved a generic version.

The new drug has the same active ingredient as the name brand. It also has the same benefits and side effects, but will likely cost less.

Right now, Viagra goes for about $40 a pill.
