Researchers combined the results of 10 studies to see if there is a relationship between sun exposure and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. They found that getting recreational sun can reduce the risk of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
Sun exposure boosts production of vitamin D in the body and researchers believe that's behind the reduced risk of the cancer. But researchers say more research needs to be done on the relationship between vitamin D and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
The study is published in the International Journal of Cancer.
