Brawls break out after H.S. basketball game

HILLSIDE, IL Teams from Proviso East and West high schools had just played. Police say sporadic fights broke out in the parking lot at Proviso West, where the game took place.

Local police had to ask for help from surrounding towns in breaking up the skirmishes.

There were no serious injuries. Some of the students are juveniles and some are adults.

Thirteen have been suspended for ten days. Some of those students may face further discipline.
