The marchers called on the Cook County Board to reform health care instead of reducing services. Some clinics and hospitals could be closed due to budget cuts. The groups fear, if that happens, the wait times for diagnoses, prescriptions and operations will dramatically increase while the health of the poor and minorities will suffer.
