If you have a migraine, exercise probably won't do much to curb your pain. Many reference books and web sites promote exercise as a way to help lessen the severity of a migraine. But a review in the journal Headache shows that there's really no proof of any benefit.
Looking at a total of eight studies and four case reports, researchers found no evidence regular exercise significantly reduces headache attacks or duration.
So, for now, scientists don't think you should feel so bad if that pounding headache keeps you on the couch.
