CHICAGO --The legendary restaurant Trader Vic's is making a come back. For nearly a half century, Trader Vic's served up South Pacific charms and huge tropical drinks in the basement of the Palmer House Hotel. But it closed in 2005.
The new Trader Vic's will reopen in late November in Newberry Plaza. That's near State and Maple.
The new site includes the 700-pound Easter Island-influenced Tiki that was saved from the Palmer House.
