House explodes in Chicago

An explosion has caused a house fire on Chicago's South Side.It happened Saturday evening at 6426 South Drexel.

The Chicago Fire Department confirms there was an explosion, but information about the cause was not known. Spokesman Larry Langford says the blast blew out the back wall of the house. Authorities fear the house could collapse.

The home was being remodeled. It was vacant, and there are no injuries.
