Western Illinois students facing weapons charges

Police say the students were also wearing homemade bullet-proof vests.

Authorities have charged 20-year-old Nicholas Holik Jr. of northwest suburban Mount Prospect and 25-year-old Bryce Standley of downstate Macomb.

Officials say the students had 2-rifles and 2-loaded pistols, all with silencers, night vision goggles, gas masks, and ammunition.

An attorney for one of students says the two were coyote hunting and target shooting.
