CDOT crews spend weekend filling potholes

In 2009 alone, the crews have patched more than 40,000 potholes.

Four crews were set to work both Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m.-3 p.m.

At each of the pothole-patching locations listed below one lane of traffic will be temporarily closed. CDOT urges motorists to slow down and drive carefully near repair crews.

Saturday's locations:

  • Ashland--Lake to Ogden

  • Kimball--1900 N to 4000 N

  • Fullerton--Elston to Pulaski

  • Diversey--Kennedy Expy. to Pulaski

  • 79th St.--Pulaski to Ashland

  • Kedzie--71st to 87th

  • Pulaski-75th to 87th

    Sunday's locations:

  • Milwaukee--5800 N to 4900 N

  • Foster--4800 W to 7700 W

  • Devon--7200 W to 4000 W

  • Peterson--4800 W to 1600 W

  • Congress--25 E to 2400 W

  • Wabash--700 S to 1717 S

  • Harrison--99 E to 2700 W

  • Madison--2000 W to 3000 W

  • 18th St.--State to Ashland

  • Cermak--Halsted to Western

  • Archer--Cermak to Halsted

  • Commercial--103rd to 8400 S

  • Torrence Ave--102nd to 110th

    Drivers are asked to call 3-1-1 to notify CDOT about pothole problems.
