Police are searching for a man who tried to abduct a 16-year old girl on her way to school. It happened Thursday morning on Sunnyside near Pulaski in Chicago's Albany Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

Investigators say a man inside a four door gray car waved the girl over to him. But when she ignored him the man jumped out of the car and grabbed her arm.

Someone driving by saw what was happening and confronted the attacker who drove off.

The suspect is described as between 20 and 25 years old, 5 ft. 9 inches, tall and weighing about 170 lbs. He had brown curly hair and was wearing a cream sweater and white pant.

Anyone with information should call police.
