June 5, 2009 (CHICAGO) --Artifacts from Italy that were illegally taken out of that country and found in a Chicago area home are going back overseas.Federal authorities have announced their investigation into the discovery is finished. The books, paintings and thousands of other antiques were recovered from a modest home in Berwyn. The FBI discovered the items between March and April of 2007.
Italian authorities will receive the artifacts next week.
The FBI has planned a news conference for Monday, during which it will reveal more information about the investigation.
