Chicago memorial honors King of Pop

July 7, 2009 (CHICAGO) Those strolling down South Michigan Avenue will notice something new outside the Johnson Publishing Company.

Fans are continuing to pay their last respects to an entertainer known throughout many generations.

"Well, he changed the music world. I just love him. I love listening to his music," says Amy Wilson of Chicago. Wilson is a dancer and says she loves Jackson's dancing, and her favorite song is Man In the Mirror.

Rosa King and Myisha Farris paid their respects during their lunch break. "He impacted the world. Even little babies know who Michael Jackson is, even though [Jackson] had been out for so long. He changed everything," says King. "I'm thankful that I did get to enjoy his music live and in the moment. I'm going to miss the fact that we won't hear anything new, but I hope he is resting in peace," says Farris.

King and Farris say they will continue to enjoy Jackson's music and will always be thankful for his work. "Thank you, Joe and Katherine for producing him," says the pair.

The makeshift memorial honoring Michael Jackson is located at Johnson Publishing Company.
