Vigil held for captured U.S. journalists

July 19, 2009 (CHICAGO) The vigil was held at Old St. Pat's Church. Candles were lit and flowers were planted, one for each of the 124 days that the women have been gone.

Laura Ling and Euna Lee were taken prisoner on March 17 at the North Korean border. They have been able to contact their families to let them know how they're being treated.

"We heard a message they were staying in a luxury hotel. They aren't. They're staying in a medical detention center. They are treated fairly, but it's still not easy because they're away from their friends and their family," said Michael Saldate, Euna Lee's husband.

Sunday's vigil was one of 15 held around the world to keep the effort alive to bring the women home.
