New 'At the Movies' hosts

August 5, 2009 (CHICAGO) Ben Lyons and Ben Mankiewicz are out after less than a year at the helm of the show that Roger Ebert and Gene Siskel created. They became hosts after Richard Roeper quit. He had taken over alongside Ebert after Gene Siskel's death in 1999.

Roger had remained on as a consultant after health issues forced him off the air three years ago.

The new team will revive the tradition of newspaper critics -- with Michael Phillips of the Chicago Tribune and A.O. Scott of the New York Times. Phillips had been a regular host with Roeper, and Scott with Ebert. Roger has long admired both of them -- and it's always been his hope that the legacy of the show would return to its roots.

The new show rolls out September 5th.
