How safe are cell phones?

September 14, 2009 All cell phones emit radiation, but some much more than others, according to a new study. Using any of them could be dangerous, says the Environmental Working Group that sponsored the study. The watchdog group warns that using a cell phone for 10 years or more significantly increases a person's risk for certain types of brain cancer.

The food and Drug Administration has found no link between cell phones and cancer.

Phone manufacturers say their phones meet strict federal guidelines.
