Dillinger letter on the auction block

October 8, 2009 John Dillinger wrote the letter to his father telling him he knew he had been a disappointment. He wrote it in jail in September of 1933, about two weeks before he escaped. It's just one of a dozen items his family is auctioning off in December.

The collection includes two items Dillinger had on him when he was shot outside the Biograph Theatre in 1934: a pocket watch and a dollar bill.

The collection is expected to fetch at least $600,000.
