November 8, 2009 (NAPERVILLE, Ill.) --Some of the 2,009 flags displayed at Naperville's "Healing Field of Honor" now include personal notes to local soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan. Chimes and clear skies provided a solemn patriotic setting for volunteers to place the handwritten placards on the flags Sunday.
Individual flags making up the exhibit are for sale through next Sunday. Proceeds benefit Chicago's Fisher House, which houses families of soldiers being treated nearby at the Edward Hines Jr. Veteran's Hospital.
