Dehumidifier could help asthma patients

People with asthma might breathe easier at night if they dehumidify their air by improving the ventilation in their homes. British researchers retrofitted the homes of several asthma patients with humidity-lowering ventilation systems. The patients showed a significant improvement in evening breathing tests.

Patients without the ventilation system did worse in the test.

The study is published in the journal Allergy.
